The Journey Begins

Welcome to our blog! This is the first of many posts over the next few months and we are so excited!!!

A little about us: Tracy, Kerry, Cheryl and Leigh-Ann are friends and co-workers who decided to take a little adventure. We will be hiking Mt. Whitney in CA the last week of August. It's a 1-day ascent to the highest summit in the contiguous US - 14,505 feet. The hike is 22 miles round trip and we will climb over 6,100 feet to the top. Training is our top priority and the reason for this blog. We want to share the adventures with you!

We'll be sharing the fun of our weekly hikes, pictures, our training schedule, tips we're learning (and tips welcome), our fitness changes, and anything else that seems worth sharing.
New hikers are always welcome on our training hikes - just check out our schedule and come on out!!!
